Wenn man in Mustern, Wolken oder Strukturen Dinge oder Wesen erkennt
ohne dass diese abgebildet sind, dann nennt man das Pareidolie, eine Form der Illusion.
Hier ein Beispiel von Urinkristallen auf einem Objektträger. Was erkennst du in diesem Bild?
Pareidolia is a type of illusion or misperception involving a vague or obscure stimulus being perceived as something clear and distinct.
For example, in the diescoloration of a burnt tortilla ones sees the face of Jesus. Or ones sees the image of Mother Teresa,
Ronald Reagan in a cinnamon bun or a backpacker in a drop of urine…
…or a whole bunch of people…
It’s magic.
Die Bakterien-Dias von Wolfgang Ganter
Der Berliner Fotokünstler Wolfgang Ganter sammelt alte Dias – mehr als 10.000 lagern bei ihm im Atelier.
Die Dias “infiziert” er mit Bakterien. Ihr Wachstum verleiht den Bildern eine ganz besondere Ästhetik.
Die Abzüge der Motive sind zum Teil mehrere Meter groß.

The bacteria artist Wolfgang Ganter
German photographer Wolfgang Ganter uses photography slides and infects them with bacteria to create a whole new effect.
He also did the same when he was allowed to photograph classic paintings at the Louvre in Paris.
He then added bacteria to those photos to reinvent the classics. Ganter shows us how it’s done.
